"I recognized my wearkness of trying to achieve through my fleshly goals instead of my Spiritual acceptance!"

I want to tell you about my experience with North Arkansas Counseling Services. A little over a year ago I was divorced which lead to some life changing events and an emotional roadblock. Through counseling my eyes have opened to things about myself that I never realized… Why I am who I am and what people and situations have caused me to believe about myself and others. My relationship with God has become much more personal through this process. I never truly understood the phrase “let go and let God.” However, through my counselor, whom I know God is speaking through, I finally have let go. She kept explaining and predicting what had either already happened or was going to. It’s definitely a process. I’m still on my journey of discovery but I thank God for leading me to Teresa and NACF. It is wonderful to talk and let it all out while having God’s plan explained when I don’t get it. I feel like someone cares for me as an individual. I believe the guidance I am receiving and my desire to live an abundant life has saved my life.
Sincerely,
Darla

"I have left my fears and guilt at the foot of the cross. I now know that I am not alone - I'm never alone."

Stressed-out and a bit anxious, I walked through the doors of the coffman Center a few weeks ago to begin my "faith-based" counseling. I wasn't quite sure how things were going to happen, but I had some pre-conceived ideas. Aside from prayer and scripture having their part in my sessions, my assumptions were way off.
I met Teresa with an inviting smile on her face, and began with a simple, painless - actually kind of fun - assessment. We talked and she gave me some things to do when I left, one of which was to read Steve McVey's "Grace Walk". This book dramatically changed the way I view my life. "A Divine Invitation" also by McVey, opened not only my eyes but more so, my heart. I have left my fears and guilt at the foot of the cross. I now know that I am not alone - I'm never alone. God is always with me, always loving me, all the time, regardless of what I may be doing - or not doing. He accpets me for me, because He lives through me.
I thank Teresa for her cheerful guiding word, Steve McVey for his genuinely wonderful works, and most of all, I thank the Lord for leading me through the doors of the Coffman Center and onto this wonderful journey of life.
I am worthy of His love. I am continuing to grow and build the most fulfilling relationshiop ever imagined with Him and through Him.
